ABSTRACT
Organisations require engaged employees to maintain productivity and product quality, but evidence on the separate relationships of vigour and dedication with performance in Nigerian water manufacturing remains limited. This study examined the relationship between employee engagement and organisational performance at CWAY Water, Abuja, Nigeria. A quantitative, cross-sectional survey design was adopted, using a structured questionnaire to obtain data on vigour, dedication and perceived organisational performance. The results chapter reported that 147 questionnaires were distributed, 138 were returned and 132 were usable. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation and multiple regression, with hypotheses tested at the 0.05 significance level. The reported findings revealed that vigour had a positive and statistically significant relationship with perceived organisational performance (β = 0.27, p = .002). Dedication also demonstrated a positive and significant relationship (β = 0.33, p < .001). Both variables jointly explained 33% of the variation in perceived organisational performance. The study concluded that employee vigour and dedication were positively associated with perceived organisational performance. It emphasised the importance of sustaining employee engagement through supportive working conditions and recognition. However, the cross-sectional design limits causal interpretation of the findings.
